| Responsibilities: |
Provide development & support services for a variety of new and old database/application systems across the full development/production life cycle in the SQL/Server (Win/NT-Win 2000) environment. |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience. Incumbents possess at least 2-5 years of information technology experience with a minimum of 1.5 years experience in the database administration area. |
| Description: |
- Minimum 1-5 years experience as an SQL Server DBA in a production environment
- Strong working experience using CA ERwin to manage database models
- Must have solid understanding of relational data modeling concepts
- Experience supporting development of web applications in a SQL/Server-application environment
- Strong performance tuning skills at both the database and individual SQL levels
- Solid experience writing and debugging queries/stored procedures
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Solid working knowledge of SQL/Server database parameters
- Good working knowledge of Win/NT and Win/2000 operating system
- Good experience with database backup and recovery methods in a production environment
- Some knowledge of Cybermation job scheduling package is a plus
- Added Plus: Some familiarity with MicroStrategy products and how work with SQL/Server databases, particularly in performance and tuning

| Responsibilities |
Provide development DBA services for the design, creation, loading, and tuning of client databases, data warehouses, and data marts in an Oracle environment. Candidates will work closely with Data Administration group and various development teams to ensure corporate standards are followed. DBA will give guidance and direction to ETL teams on how to process incoming and outgoing data. Candidate will also participate in a rotational on-call schedule in support of enterprise-wide Oracle database systems. |

- Minimum 2-4 years experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment
- Good working knowledge of Oracle 9i database parameters
- Very good understanding of data warehousing and data marts
- Experience in using Oracle partitioning options
- Experience in the use of SQL, PL/SQL and stored procedures/packages
- Knowledge in the use of SQL*Loader utilizing direct and conventional mode, and the parallel load option
- Good performance tuning skills at both the database and individual SQL levels
- Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting (HP/UX a plus)
- Working knowledge of ERwin and Model Mart (Manager)
- Experience in using Oracle in both the HP UNIX and NT environments
- Some familiarity with MicroStrategy products and how they access Oracle databases
- Some knowledge of AutoSys or Cybermation is a plus
- Some knowledge in the use of Pro*Cobol and Pro*C is a plus
